A shy wave from Germany

It may seem strange when a German enters a french forum regarding handcuffs. It may seem even stranger when this german is not completely able to wirite French.

I would like to learn about the neighbours. My "home" is the german "handschellenforum", as is the selfbonageforum as well.
Sure, I can communicate much better in English than in French, unfortunately.  
Though the english department here in menottesforum is still without respopnse I feel encouraged to write here nevertheless.

Friends and I sometimes do some bondage, not only handcuff-based, but in my case quite often. Sometimes we do some little films about, if we are in the mood ..

I wonder about the number of members in this forum. Is it a result in France it is forbidden to be seen handcuffed in public? In relation to the number of French and other countries where french is spoken my guss was this Forum should be much more frequented.

So Latin somewhat was a waste of time to me and was only helpful when I learnt Italian, almost 30 years old.
Half the vocabulary I knew from Latin ...

Here in the menottes-forum I really hope to find somebody to give me corrections on the texts I write; otherwise my French will stay what it actually is: Almost non existent.


In the german "handschellenforum" we recently had an interesting discussion.
Someone claimed that in Roman countries the use of handcuffs and bondage in general were a much less practiced phenomenon. I wonder whether this is true - and, if so, why.
